Who doesn’t love gorgeous, colorful, variegated yarn? It’s beautiful! However, using it in a project can be tricky. So, the EVS was designed to honor and feature that gorgeous yarn, while also showing off how simple stitches can make a big impact!
The EVS is perfect for a beginning knitter wanting to advance their skills, or a seasoned knitter looking for a fun and engaging project.

What is a KAL?
Knit-A-Long (KAL) is a group knitting activity where many knitters are working together on the same project.
A KAL builds community, creates confidence in your craft, and it’s fun!

What knitting skills do I need to know prior to the KAL?

You will need to know how to cast on, the knit stitch, and the purl stitch.

Will there be instruction on knitting techniques?

Yes! You will receive instructions every week on the skills and techniques used in the shawl, as well as tips and tricks to add confidence to you knitting.

What else will I experience in the KAL?

You will also experience and receive centering, mindfulness, and self-care practices.

How do I get access to the meetings?

You will receive a Zoom link for the Monday meetings.

Can I use a different weight of yarn?
-
Yes! The EVS is a Knit Sisu “Technique Shawl” - so you can use any yarn in the fingering-worsted weight spectrum (make sure you have corresponding needles for your chosen yarn weight).

Do I have to use variegated yarn?

No! The shawl looks great in tonal or solid color yarn.

Can I join the KAL if I do not want to knit the shawl?

Absolutely! Come knit with us, no matter what the project! (You will still receive the pattern as part of your purchase).
